UPDATE!!! For those of you trying to decide if you have a DIY to post for the giveaway, I wanted to let you know I'm opening it to just comments to be eligible. Just post your thoughts on a DIY in planning or take a look at Gina's shop and tell me what you'd buy if you won the gift certificate. It's that easy! Comment away! It's giveaway time! The very talented and generous Gina at Hettle has offered up a great giveaway to readers of The Other Tiffany. As you know from my previous posts (here) Gina makes lovely handmade pillow covers that she sells out of her Etsy shop. Her specialty has been ruffles but she just branched out into the world of block printing. Gina has agreed to give a lucky reader of The Other Tiffany a $20 gift certificate to her shop. Here's what you need to do in order to be eligble.
I recently had an inspired moment where I used one of Gina's pillow covers as inspiration to makeover a thrift store lamp (see the finished results here). All you need to do is share with us an inspired DIY project you've completed as well as taking a little trip over to Gina's Etsy shop, to tell us which of her designs you might find future inspiration in. Be creative and have fun with it! Please share a link to or an image and we'll post the winning project. It can be a project you created in the past or, if you're particularly inspired, something new you come up with this week. You have until next Friday to comment on this post with links to your DIY and the following Monday, August 3rd, we'll announce the winner!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Good luck!

Oooh, fun giveaway! I just love those ruffle pillows! They are all so pretty-perhaps the orange? I will blog and tweet to help you get the word out :)
ReplyDeleteOh I want to win!!! pick me pick me. I need pillows and those are ALL my colors. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI love the rose pillows.. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25845894
ReplyDeleteVery victorian.
I just completed what might be my very first DIY project this weekend (I'm so not crafty) . . . I painted two mis-matched end tables. We've had them for a few years tucked away but I just couldn't get rid of them because of their great structure. Well now they are painted and ready for use and night stands in the guest room, yay.
ReplyDeleteI do have another project in the line up, another painting of furniture, but also attempting to sew a seat cushion from some sentimental fabric. I have yet to tackle it but am getting my game plan going, I'm excited about this one!
Great give away, super cute pillows, I love them all!
Ooo! I absolutely LOVE all of them but I think the bright white is perfection for my bedroom!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing us this giveaway!

These ruffle pillows are perfection! I particularly love the black and gray stripe tuxedo...however the pink ruffle pillow might me the pillow I've been looking for to complete my daughter's nursery!
ReplyDeleteDIY- I am in the midst of painting a huge tree on a wall in my daughter's room...planning to incorporate 3D butterflies around the room, as well as a little birdie in the tree.
Hopped over from Jackie's post.... LOVE the pillows. I really don't know which I would choose. I'm in love with all the ruffles, and the carnival stripe. The one that immediately jumped out at me was the natural cotton one with the round ruffle poof in the middle.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tackled any big DIYs lately, but I've done a few little little ones... painted up a frame to make a reusable menu planner and spray-painted some iron pieces. Oh, and helped hubby install a new toilet. Not so glamorous.
Oh wow! I love both the heather gray and bright white ruffle pillows!
ReplyDeleteI just finished a gallery project - check out my blog for the final results :)
I love them all, but if I had to pick just one I'd go for the heather grey ruffle pillow. It has inspired me to come up with a new bedroom look for fall/winter.
ReplyDeleteoooo pillows! Love them all! I recently redid my office- I turned it into a bedroom for my 3 daughters! (they like sharing a room. I know. weird)
ReplyDeleteI would choose the grey ruffle pillow: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27200282
ReplyDeletewhich goes along beautifully with the kitchen nook makeover I'm currently in the middle of. I'm choosing grey as a main color because my cabinets are white and my countertops are black. This space used to be an office, but we recently took down half of a wall and created a bar area overlooking the new bench seating that will house the pillow. Thanks for the opportunity.
oooh, i love the Black and Grey Stripe Tuxedo Ruffle Pillow...i think that i could decorate a whole room around that one piece!
ReplyDeletethanks for bringing us this!
My favourite would be the Natural Cotton Jersey Rose Pillow! Never knew ruffles would go well on pillows! This is so cute :)
ReplyDeletewhat a LOVELY giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is most definitely the Spring Green Ruffle Pillow -- because it consists of 2 of my favorite things - ruffles + GREEN!
xo.

I'm actually still in the middle of renovating my midnight bathroom. We've installed our new window and I'm about to start painting - yippee! You can read more about it on my
ReplyDeleteblog.
I'm definitely inspired by Gina's Hand Block Printed Floral Goddess Pillow on Baby Blue Colored Jersey
I would love to have one of the ruffle pillows. It would go great in my "Wedding Day Inspired Bedroom" that I just blogged about!
ReplyDeleteThe last DIY project of mine was a Christmas gift that I finished in February, Ha!

I have recently moved into a house where I have enough room to keep my sewing machine out all the time. I am looking for a table now. Exciting!
As for the lovely Hettle shop, it is so hard to choose but I would go for the Happy Orange Ruffle Pillow. Really I dream of a white ruffled pillow but my life is not set up for such lovelies with a big ol' dog and a little boy.
I'm a nature lover so these sweet ruffle pillows inspire me to garden. If I were ready to start a new project...I would plant ruffly green lettuce close together in a square and maybe a low growing herb around it in another square in some fun square container. I could "plant" each pillow in a separate container. Or...maybe just do flower arrangements...little white roses in a tight circle...you get the idea...too cute! -Ginny
